Personal Education & Employment Brief
From pre-K to senior year, I attended the same private Christian school. When I would come home, crying (hating that school), my mother would ask me if I wanted to go to public school, I declined, knowing it would be worse. After that, let's say I have "some college". I partied first, then worked a few jobs, then got serious and went back, then the money ran out. I was unwilling to be indebted to the system when I had already switched majors 3 times (first English, then Psych, then unsure), so college was over. After escaping the restaurant trap (again), I ended up back in high-end home goods sales and admin. After realizing that my career choices were not-so-fulfilling, I took the plunge into Life Coach training & meditation, which changed my life; seriously. I quit my day job to do this, because it works.

A Personal History of Awakening
Who makes us ignorant? We ourselves.
We put our hands over our eyes and weep that it is dark.
-- Swami Vivekananda
I began to realize the full potential of this life around 1997. I experienced a spontaneous and profound realization that everything consists of pure energy, and therefore, everything (mind, matter, and more) contains and IS God or divine life - and that God was so much more than I’d ever been taught in church or in 14 long years at Christian school (fear-based approach to religion, hellfire and brimstone, restriction and suppression). In the ensuing years, exploration into quantum physics happily confirmed (to my brain) what my heart had come to understand as truth.
I was beginning to wake from a long sleep...
Despite this increased understanding, I continued (stubbornly!) for several years in a largely self-defeating lifestyle - damaging the body, letting worry and self-doubt rule, avoiding difficult emotions, etc. I continued to uncover shortcomings, but was unable or unwilling to take action. Frustration and confusion drove me to seek answers, but without advanced mentors or guides, I wasn’t making real progress - I felt stuck and hopeless. My mind was busy and clouded, I was frequently ill, and was steadily giving up hope. Pacified by poor advice that this type of experience was a “normal” part of life and/or getting older (!), I was settling in for a rather dismal ride.
Needless to say, settling didn’t pan out... I am grateful to have never fully succumbed to the many hazards I exposed myself to in those days, as my choices could have easily led to an early grave. The way out for me has been to actively choose LIFE - this is an expression of self-love. I engaged in meditative-type practices, and with constant self-inquiry and discovery, underwent a total diet and lifestyle overhaul. I also acted on compassionate guidance given by mentors who demonstrated a life of clarity and love.
My experience of life is now more beautiful and fulfilling than I ever could have imagined, and it keeps getting more interesting. This journey of awakening is ongoing for all of us, and I welcome every opportunity to learn and unlearn (!). I am eternally grateful to the many friends and teachers with whom I’ve had the honor to share this lifetime of experience; and am delighted to offer these ever-expanding gifts to all who wish to find their own unique path to joy & fulfillment.

The way of love is not a subtle argument.
The door there is devastation.
Birds make great sky-circles of their freedom.
How do they learn it?
They fall, and falling, they're given wings.
